άτλας carries the vault of heaven on their shoulders - at the westernmost point of the then known world, at the point where the sun seems to touch the earth. A collection of maps and coordinates, the atlas records locations and provides guidance in space and time. Graue Kreide turns to the rare forks in the road and uses the atlas to find their way in the atmospheric fog off the beaten path.
